A Very Fine Antique Late Meiji Period Japanese Satsuma Baluster Form Signed Vase. A very good quality late Meiji period Satsuma baluster form vase, beautifully decorated with Oriental figures and wonderful white raised enamel blossom. It is signed to the bottom with a relatively clear maker's mark with the name'Itö'. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and little wear to the gilt.

A lovely piece of Satsumaware which is very underpriced right now. This is a medium-sized vase at 25cm (9.75") tall and about 13.5cm (5.25") wide.
