Antique Japanese Kutani Satsuma Dragon Ware Tea Set Geisha Girl Lithophane 20pc. This stunning antique tea set is a beautiful example of Japanese Satsuma Dragon Ware. Created in the 1920s or 30s it includes place settings for 3 (as there are only three cups) 2 extra plate sets (3 graduated Saucers in a Set) a Dragon head lidded Tea Pot and a Geisha Patterned Coffee Pot Total 20 pieces. The set features the mark of a Geisha Lithophane at the bottom of each cup.

With its striking ornately hand decorated plates and cups, delicate eggshell China or bisque pottery, fabulous satsuma colouring and of course the wonderful dragon head lidded Tea pot & Hand Painted Coffee Pot, this intricate and impressive set really does take your breath away. Each Cup: 5.5cm tall, just under 12cm in length(with handle) and just over 9.5cm in diameter. Each Saucer: just under 11.5cm in diameter and 1.5cm in height.

Each Smaller Side Plate: 14cm in diameter, 2cm in height. Each Bigger Side Plate: Just over 18cm in diameter and 1.5cm in height. Tea Pot: 15cm tall with lid on, 12cm without lid, 18.5cm in length and 12cm wide. Opening is 6.5cm wide.

Coffee Pot: 18.5cm tall with lid on, 17cm with lid off, 19cm in length, 8.5cm wide. Opening is just over 4cm wide.

There is a chip to the raised dragon design where the lid meets the pot. A chip to one tea cup rim and a smaller chip to another tea cup.

One tea cup has hairline crack lines on the inside. Other than that just fading a minor losses to the hand decorations and gilt detailing. Some small scratches to edges of plates in places. (If you would like further photos please let me know).
