Lovely Pair - both marked Koshida and they stand about 9.5 tall - No Chips No Cracks. One features flower garden with a tree with mountains in the background. Please note the small village houses along the mountain ridges. Lots of gold embellishments with a foundation of green along the bottom image with red flowers with a hint of purple. The other vase features detailed pheasant birds under a bamboo tree with flowers - Once again the green along the base of the image with blue flowers and the pheasants and the larger flowers in red and pink.
Both have gold rims and bases - which together make a statement. Both have the cracking in the glaze which is normal and standard for this style and artist and age. I do not know the exact production date of these items. Will pack with extream care for safe travels.
It is particulary renowned for its intricate designs, delicate color palette, and use of gold embellishments. Koshida Satsauma pieces often depict scenes from Japanese foklore, history, and methology, as well as everyday life. Koshida Satusma pieces can be identified by their signature "Koshida" mark on the base, which is typically written in kanji characters. This is a used item so minor signs of wear should be expected.
Any additional notes specific to this item are listed above. This will be packed with care for safe travels.
