A beautiful large Koro incense burner in hexagonal shaped and supported by three feet decorated with deities and other figures on all the sections, the shoulder with two barrel-like appliqués, the lid with a Shi Shi lion top; the bottom with the Hododa workshop stamp and the Shimazu family crest in black and gold. This antique is dated to the Meiji period. Condition: Very good overall, a 3cm hairline departing from the rim.
