The association promotes responsible antiquities and antique dealing, provides support network and means of exchanging relevant information about forgeries fraudulent misrepresentation and stolen art with a view of identifying such items for sale and notifying the relevant authorities. All member of AIAD must adhere and follow the stringent code of conduct in order to participate in the association. A beautiful large Koro incense burner in hexagonal shaped and supported by three feet decorated with deities and other figures on all the sections, the shoulder with two barrel-like appliqués, the lid with a Shi Shi lion top; the bottom with the Hododa workshop stamp and the Shimazu family crest in black and gold. This antique is dated to the Meiji period. Condition: Very good overall, a 3cm hairline departing from the rim.
