An Satsuma earthenware plate, circular form. Signed by the studio of Ryuun Fuzan. 1868 - 1912, late 19th century. The plate depicting vibrant branches of cascading Wisteria in full bloom, shaded in tones of purple and white, amongst rich green foliage.

The work applied in an array of coloured enamels, then finely detailed in gilt. Signed "Dai Nihon, Ryuun Fuzan Zo". No chips, cracks or restoration.
