Antique Meiji Satsuma Foo Dog Lion Lidded Jar Japanese Ashes Urn 12.5. This was a well loved piece which appears to have been an ashes urn. The beautiful colors compliment each other so well!

There are two Foo Dog Lion handles and an additional Foo Dog Lion on the lid. There appear to be remnants of ashes inside in the crevices of the ceramic. The lid has been repaired as shown in the photos. There is much wear to the piece throughout. It stands 12.5 with the lid, 7.5 from handle to handle and is marked on the bottom with the word juroku I believe.
