A fine pair of Japanese Meiji period Satsuma porcelain vases by the highly regarded Kinkozan studio of Kyoto, of baluster form each vase is unusually decorated with a watermill scene and people going about their daily chores, beautifully painted with a floral border at the top. Both vases are marked on the base and come with their original carved wood stand, both are in excellent condition standing 9 ΒΌ inches tall.
