Antique Satsuma Pottery Square Japanese Bud Vase
This vase has four panels which taper towards the bottom. It is beautifully decorated with enameled flowers, two birds in flight and other forms of vegetation.

It is signed with the Satsuma mon on the bottom. It is primarily in colors of gold, green, cream, red, and blue. The vase is Meiji period from the late 19th century. We do not know the specific artist although it is signed. Aside from very minor wear to the gold on one of the bamboo stalks, it appears to be in very good condition.
