EXQUISITE MARKED ANTIQUE Satsuma JAPANESE MEIJI SATSUMA CUP AND SAUCER

For the collector and admirer of exquisite SATSUMA - this beautiful cup and saucer dates from the latter half of the 1800's - the period known as the MEIJI period. No chips or cracks, hand - painted and heavily decorated in gold which gives this cup and saucer a very opulent look. The pair are obviously of the highest quality for which Satsuma is known. The saucer has a diameter of 14.2 cm and the cup has a diam.

Across the top of 9 cm and a depth of 5 cm. This piece is signed underneath but I have not identified the artist. This is an outstanding pair to add to a Satsuma collection.
