Beautiful Pair Of Small Japanese Satsuma Vases, c1850. In a shouldered ovoid form. Decorated with Japanese women in traditional dress, also with Japanese trees and pavilions upon a river bank or sea shore landscape In lovely colours with gilt finish against a buff background.

Unusual landscape decoration, and bearing in mind antique Satsuma was traditionally hand painted by children, as adult eyesight is not as good as children's.
