Beautifully Decorated Japanese Satsuma Vase With Geisha and Peony Design and Shimazu Family Creat. Condition is Fine / Good.

Has a small repair to the mouth which has been neatly done and does not distract from the overall masterful appearance of this piece. Hand Made and Intricately Decorated With Gilding and Raised Moriage Enamels.

Made from White Stoneware Clay and Crackle Glazed. Does not Ring When Tapped, Which is a Sign of True Satsuma.

Signed on the Base by Kusube Yaichi. Kusube Yaichi's pottery is very collectable. There are examples of his work in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Kyoto National Museum of Modern Art in Japan.
