A charming Japanese Meiji period satsuma bowl decorated inside with pheasants standing on the rock with wisteria sprays overhead and flowers surrounding. It has a chevron border on the inside rim and a bordered panel on the outside of the bowl near the bottom rim. The outside is also painted with wisteria sprays.
This bowl has a very fine gilt finish and is signed "koshida" on the bottom. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or gold missing.Light browning on the inside of the bowl as shown in the last photo. Please see the pictures as they are part of my description. It measures approximately 6 1/8" in diameter, 2 1/2" tall.
