This is a Mid MEIJI PERIOD circa 1890 - 1905, a beautifully decorated, glazed and gilded signed GYOKUZAN JAPANESE SATSUMA Vase - Excellent with No Damages - adorned with portraits of immortals or sages. My pictures is not doing the old vase any justice at all, you have to physically see the vase to truly appreciate it. The large vase is 14.5" (36.8cm) tall with a girth diameter of approximately 7.5" (19.1cm), it is a heavy vase by weight and it is heavily gilded.
The ANTIQUE vase has no crack or chip anywhere. The rim and base are simply perfect, no chips, no cracks, but there is very light gilt loss probably due to age and cleaning. Rub and wear commensurate with its age. Please use all the pictures as a major portion of the description, but please feel free to ask all pertinent questions. This antique vase is a very valueable addition to any serious collector or decorator, don't miss out.
