Large Antique Satsuma Jar. Outer & Inner Lids. Many Figures, Gold 9.75x8.8

This is a fascinating piece. It has an inner lid (also decorated and painted) an outer lid with a chrysanthemum pattern (I think).

At least 30 figures around the jar, plus those on the inner lid. Some symbolic, I think, and/or legends. There is a minegame (the turtle with the straw or seaweed attached) together with a crane, two longevity symbols or wishes. There is some guy blowing smoke, as some guys do the world over, in which a vision appears (pics 8 & 9) A nobleman on a white horse, peasants and scholars or legendary figures. The repeated decorative patterns, scrolls at the top and fish scale pattern at the bottom, are perfect. The inside and the bottom are heavily glazed. No signature I can see. The bottom has bumps on it, meaning I do not know what. The rim inside and out is unglazed and green on the outside. I thought that might have been a sealing material but it does not seem to be.

A very interesting, attractive, heavy jar. 9.75" tall, 8.5" diameter. Heavy at more than 8 pounds.
