Rare Mirrored Pair Of Antique Satsuma Moriage Vases by KINKOZAN. The US McKinley Tariff Act of 1891 stated that all goods imported into America must have the country of origin clearly marked on the item in English. The Kinkozan factory stopped producing wares and closed down for good in 1927. This is a later Kinkozan mark dated circa. Condition is Antique and VERY GOOD. No damage or visible flaws. Both vases are in exceptional condition, very clean and have been well looked after. Complete with original matching antique wooden stands. These are an original matching and mirrored pair, meaning, the decoration on both vases are near identical and they are a mirror reflection of each other.
Intricately hand made by the Kinkozan factory in Kyoto, Japan. The decoration depicts a scene with Kannon and Arhat, with immortals fighting a golden gilded dragon.
The style is a combination of raised slip clay, moriage, gilding and real gold leaf. The detailing is very fine for decoration of this style.
