Presents A very nice Kyoto Satsuma vase decorated by Okamoto Ryozan for the Yasuda company in the Meiji period. The vase has a lovely scene of bishjo among cherry blossom. The vase is marked Ryozan, with the Yasuda company logo and the Shimazu clan mon. The mark has lost some of its gold, but under sunlight the remnants of the mark show up and is legible. There is some minor wear to the gilding on the foot rim, but otherwise the vase is in excellent condition.
The vase has crazing consistent with age. If you find yourself in the proximity of Amsterdam, please feel free to come and visit my shop at Antiekcentrum Amsterdam, where I have a wide collection of art and antiques on offer (or for a cup of tea).
