Offered Here is a very fine pair of antique Japanese Satsuma vases. These each stand 8 in height without the decorative wooden bases that are included. They are a square shape measuring 3 1/4 square.
The base diameter is 3" and the opening is 2". They are ornately decorated as pictured with raised Moriage adorned figures with gold gilding on three sides and a landscape with Pagoda on the last side.
Because they are completely hand decorated there are subtle difference as pictured. They have a very even crazing and the base, neck and shoulder are also adorned with Moriage.
They are both signed as pictured in red on the bottoms which is the mark for Seizan and they date to the early 1900s. They are both in excellent well cared for pre-owned condition with no chips cracks or repairs. Please view photos to further aid in description.
