Pottery antique Japanese Satsuma circa 1860, Shimazo Crest, Ariyama
Height is 6 1/4 inches, width of mouth 1 1/2 inches, width of base 1 5/8 inches, width of one shoulder 2 1/2 inches, all four are the same width. Wisteria is done in gold with turquoise enamel leaves.
A small drop of gold is on one panel near the bottom, he may have started to draw a tendril and stopped or maybe it is a fallen leaf. Around the mouth lip is gold luster. The mouth and inside and inside of foot are a white crackle glaze.
There is no visible post production damage except what looks like a small chip on the foot see the last picture.
