Rare KINKOZAN Meiji Period Satsuma Teapot Made by Toritei??? Condition is Original, Antique and VERY GOOD. No visible damage, chips, or repairs.

There is a small chip on the underside of the lid, crazing and an age related hairline crack (see photos). No signs of wear other than crazing and patina to the base and foot rim. Lid shows some discolouration consistent with age and period. Made in the Meiji period by Toritei working for the Kinkozan factory and signed Kinkozan.

There are near identical items with the same decoration made by the same person and signed Toritei. This item is marked Kinkozan in the same handwriting. A charming period Japanese Kyo-Satsuma Antique teapot with early Kinkozan mark in Japanese Kanji. A Fine Example and Very Collectable.
