A Meiji period Japanese Satsuma rectangular vase or chaire (tea caddy) by Seikozan of Kobe, Japan. Seikozan is considered to be one of the finest artists of Satsuma ware.
Rectangular panels are painted in typical colors and gold details with scenes of Japanese life and landscapes. Unfortunately there is a chip in one lower corner and some cracks on one side, as shown in the last 2 pictures. Measures about 4.5" tall and 2.5" wide. Please message me with any questions.
