Satsuma Lidded Vase on matching stand Early Meiji Period- Beautiful decoration

Lovely Japanese Satsuma Lidded Ginger Jar on high quality antique hardwood stand. Very much in the early satsuma form and style.

A nice rich colour with gold gilding highlights and very well painted. Both the lid and the base have a matching Calligraphy which I have not been able to translate but may be a number or date.

Many of the early Satsuma pieces were not signed. Vase Height with stand: 23cm (9). Please look at my other listings.
