Satsuma Meiji Earthenware Lidded Vases Foo Dogs, Samurai Pair C1900s Gold Gilt

Pair of large antique Japanese quality satsuma lidded vases having a dog of foo to the lid and sides and boasting exquisite wonderful hand painted decoration in red, blue, green, yellow, white and gold colours. A stunning decorative pair displaying beautiful intricate hand paintings of first class quality. They have three small chips and a repair to the head of one dog of foo not distracting from the beauty and are difficult to identify without close inspection. One lid has been repaired in the past and the mouth has been damaged I have two of the pieces as per the pics. 16cm wide 35cm tall total.
