Satsuma Vase Ryozan for Yasuda
Satsuma Vase by Okamoto Ryozan for the Yasuda Company. 24cm high and 13 cm wide/deep. Okamoto Ryozan was the most famous artist working for the Yasuda Company during the Meiji period. The vase has two scenes, one showing a Japanese rural/village life with mountains in the background and wisps of cloud painted with individual spots of gold, the other scene is of tree with wisps of gold cloud in the background. This a beautiful, high quality piece of satsuma.
