The belt is in excellent condition with no damage. A fine Japanese Satsuma 14-panel belt, dating from the Meiji Period. This exceptional and rare example is decorated with various floral shaped disks, featuring Geisha & Bijin women.Flying cranes, flowers and village landscapes. The decoration is applied using various coloured enamels, some in relief, then detailed with gold.
