SATSUMA CLOVE BOILER IN TWO PARTS WITH WOODEN CARVED BASE. On offer is an unusual Japanese Meiji c1880 satsuma ware clove boiler in two parts with white metal lid and matching period carved wooden display mount. With wonderful mask handles and floral design. Wooden stand is also superbly carved. Height in total (included stand) 27 cm.

Weight 1.4 kgs, so note postal cost. Secure star hairline crack to base of boiler with crack and bit of rim lose to wooden stand. Final photo references a similar rare example in the Met Museum, New York, USA.
